So, this is the first post. That probably means it won’t be read by anyone until the site is already rolling–I’ll probably have more content up before anyone even visits.
 

That makes this an interesting sort of post, since it’s likely to only be a retrospective look back at the creation of this “thing” that will hopefully take on some life of its own. I could make all kinds of grandiose predictions for where the site will be in weeks or years, but that doesn’t sound interesting to me. If you’re actually reading this for some statement of intent or poigniancy, I might not take myself seriously enough to satisfy those yearnings.
 

I like writing, so I’ll try to enjoy myself, and hopefully the reader will do likewise (the reader is free to enjoy me, or enjoy themselves.) Maybe I’ll agree with the reader, maybe I’ll piss the reader off, maybe I’ll be relevant, maybe I’ll inform the reader–maybe the reader will inform me. We shall see.
