So, for ages and ages (a few months) all I’ve done is bitch about The Mars Volta and question the sanity of anyone who can listen to them (which is really just to say that, three or four times, I’ve teased someone I know who listens to them.) Still, I listened to Viscera Eyes (off their upcoming album, Amputechture) this weekend and I must say, I’ve changed my mind.
 

One song was all it took for me to go from, “What the hell IS this shit?!” to “interesting!”
 

Granted, this isn’t to say I’m in love with TMV now, or that I’m going to suck them off after their next show, but I’m definitely going to check out the new album, and perhaps give their past albums a less biased and hasty evaluation.
 

I guess that makes this a sort of apology: I take back every not-so-nice thing I’ve ever said about TMV, and anyone who listens to them. ;)
